Meetings of the Thransnational Scholars for the Study of Gender and Sport
The idea to organize conferences on gender and sport started at an informal meeting at the University of Copenhagen (DK). Since then annually in different European universities the meetings were organized: 2005 at the University of Copenhagen (DK); 2006 at the University of Budapest (HU); 2007 at the University of Urbino (IT); 2008 at the Ludwigsburg University of Education (DE); 2010 at the University of Lyon (FR); 2010 at the University of Bath (UK); 2013 at the University of Goethenburg (SE); 2015 at the Teacher Education School FHNW, Basel (CH); 2016 at the University of Bochum (DE); 2017 at the University of Vienna (AU) and 2018 at the University of Reykjavík (IS). The group is also devoted to the mentoring of young scholars in sports studies.
