German Journal of Exercise and Sport Research
The Journal of Exercise and Sport Research is published by the Federal Institute for Sport Sciences (Bundesinstitut für Sportwissenschaft; BISp), the German Olympic Sports Confederation (Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund; DOSB) and the German Society of Sport Science (dvs) through the publishing house Springer (Heidelberg, Germany). Until 4/2008 is has been published by Hofmann publishing house (Schorndorf).
An editorial board is responsible for the journal's content. It consists of six independent and academically designated personalities, who cover the central aspects of sport science due to their expertise in teaching and research in specific areas. Two members of the publishing council work as editors-in-chief, whereas one of them plays a leading role. The other four associate editors take responsibility for specific areas with regards to content.
The members of the editorial board are appointed for the duration of five years after a public advertisement of the institutional editors with the involvement of the publisher. Numerous colleagues support the work of the editorial board as reviewers.
